Mt Bachelor, Here We Come...

As of last weekend, Kelly has officially learned how to snowboard! This is so exciting because it has been one of my biggest dreams to take our family to the mountain and have all of us enjoy skiing or snowboarding together. Kelly and I have tried skiing together in the past and to put it nicely, Kelly didn't do so well:) After last year's attempt, he refused to go with me unless he learned to snowboard....so, now it will be our new family activity that all of us can enjoy together. Hopefully, Kelly and I can go up one more time this year w/o the kids and then Kaleena should be able to take her first lesson next year.

Anyways, last weekend, we met up with some close friends of ours(Kelly's former step-dad). We stayed in a condo in Sunriver. Kelly and Harley were on the mountain for 2 days while Kris and I went sledding with the kids and enjoyed shopping at the little village in town. Since it was MLK weekend, Kelly and I had Mon. off and it made for a wonderful and relaxing trip. The girls love "Krissy" especially since she always brings them each a new baby doll. Its taken the girls a little while to warm up to "Harlowee"(Harley), but this time Kaleena and Harley worked on puzzles for over an hour and Emiley even climbed onto his lap for story time! We are so blessed to have Harley and Kris in our lives...the girls enjoy their time with them!

Well, we had so much fun that it will most likely be a yearly event from here on out...and we can't think of anyone better to share it with than the Smith Family. Thank you for sharing your weekend with us!
